Can I add rotten parts of apples, carrots, potatoes, etc. to a compost pile?

Its mainly the skin and parts of some or all of the fruits and vegetables.

    It’s a great idea. None of those “throw aways” should be wasted or sent to a landfill. They will enrich your compost exponentially.

    Add anything you eat - that was once alive - to your compost pile or bin.

    Except any meat, fish or grease. Although those things will decompose – they will also attract unwanted animals and they will stink. Better to send them to the landfill.
