Can I adopt an american baby?

Both me and my husband, married for 7 yrs are mexican citizens and live in Mexico City. We have a good economic position. Can it be possible to adopt an american baby?

Yes why not, as long as you can provide for the baby and bring the baby into a good stable home. Y not!!!!!!

all these celebrities could adopt babies from other places & pick the races of there children why cant she ... ?!

You can try, but there are very few available, which is why so many Americans go to other countries to adpot.

Ignore what Kate H said, Go ahead and file your adoption request.

Adoption is adoption regardless of nationality. Foe every one child being adopted, you leave one more room in the orphanage for someone on the streets.

I dont think so it is hard enough for an american to do it. Why would you want to? Why dont you adopt a baby from your country?

You would probably have trouble getting a baby, I am sure you would easily be able to adopt an older child.
