  1. To apply for a fiance visa, you must prove how you two met, how long you have known each other and how well, and prove that this is a valid, committed relationship.  And you must prove you have sufficient income and assets to support your spouse and guarantee a $30,000 bond.

You must show proof of your divorce (divorce decree from court).  When did you get citizenship (date)?  Who filed for divorce -- you or your ex-spouse -- and date filed? And date of final decree?

Your fiance must wait in his/her own country while the visa application is filed and processed.  It will take a year or so.  There will be questions about your prior marriage -- you got citizenship through that marriage and promptly divorced as soon as you got your citizenship.  This could hold up your application to bring in another foreigner.  If there is a presumption of marriage fraud here, you will be stripped of your citizenship and deported for fraud.

  2. yeah, if you are a citizen you sure can.
