Question:

Can I ask a question about eternal torture in h**l?

Do people of other faiths face the same fate as murderers, perverts, and thieves in the here-after?

Or

Are there levels of h**l, and degrees of torture in h**l? And so perhaps people of other faiths will receive less severe torture?

Answers from church folks appreciated.

  1. All will be judged except Christians, because they will have already asked Jesus Christ into their hearts, and so they will be known by the  ' great cloud of witnesses ' and whether or not their names are written  in the Lamb's Book of Life. ( the lamb it refers to here is the Lamb of God who was sacrificed to take the sins of the world upon His shoulders and who holds the keys to Heaven and h**l.) It will be Him ultimely, that everyone will face at the Great White Throne, the Judgement seat of Christ, because God Himself said, that all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus. He will be your judge for every word, thought or action done whilst you have been alive, whether  you are a murderer, a paedophille, a thief, a blasphemer, a member of a false religion/cult, those who practice witchcraft/ magic, tarot cards and crystals, those whose belief is in themselves, atheists and agnostics  and so the list goes on etc etc  etc....... .

Unless you have given your will and emotions over to the Son of God, you will spend eternity in h**l. Regardless of what you have been told or taught in your system of belief, they are all lies and you will be sent on your way. God does not lie. His Word is true and truth.

h**l is as real a place as Heaven. As there is a body of Christ,( The worldwide church,) so there is a body of h**l. To quote : Jesus said, " h**l has a body like a human form, lying on her back, in the centre of the earth. h**l is shaped like a human body, very large and with many chambers of torment." " Remember to tell the people of earth that h**l is real. Millions of lost souls are here and more are coming every day. On the Great Judgment Day, death and h**l will be cast into the lake of fire; that will be the second death."

h**l has cells as well.Jesus said " This cell  block is 17 miles high, starting from the bottom of h**l. Here in these cells are many souls that were in witchcraft or the occult. Some were sorcerers, mediums, drug peddlers, idol worshippers, or evil people with familiar spirits. These are the souls that worked the greatest abominations against God - many of them have been here for hundreds of years. These are they who  would not repent, especially those who deceived people and led them away from God. These souls have done great wickedness against the Lord and His people. I want to show you how satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Here in h**l there are different torments for different souls. Satan administers this torment until the day of judgement, till death and h**l are cast into the lake of fire. Also, a lake of fire comes through h**l at times. Just as surely as Heaven is real _ even so h**l is also real. You have all your senses in h**l. If you were blind on earth so you will be in h**l.

When you die on earth, if you are born again by the Spirit of God, your soul goes to Heaven. If you're a sinner when you die, you go immediately to a burning h**l. Demons with great chains will drag your soul through the gateways of h**l where you will be thrown into the pits and tormented. In time you will be brought before satan."

Jesus said " I came to save all. I desire that all who are lost will repent and call upon My name. It is not My will that any should perish, but have everlasting life. Sad to say, most will not repent of their sins before they die, and they will go to h**l. But the way to Heaven is the same for all people. You must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. You must come to the Father in My name and repent of your sins.I gave My life so that you would not have to come here. I knew these horrors were real, but My Father's mercy is just as real ..

' Behold, O earth, these things are, were and are to come. I  Am the First and the Last. Serve Me, the creator, for I give life, not death. Repent for the  time is at hand, and the Lord of glory will soon appear. Be ready, for you do not know the hour nor the day. Call on Me and I will heal and deliver you.'

  2. Imagine a real person being tortured over a period of time. You see it in the news sometimes. You see it in horror films. It happened in concentration camps. Try to imagine yourself being tortured. It's a horrible idea right?

Can it really make sense to you that any God could create a universe that will torture people for eternity? There's a degree of difference if I burn your hand or burn your body. Would either one be much of a choice? Seriously, I cannot engage with this Christian joy in the concept of people being damned to torture for eternity. It's sadistic.

  3. oogedy boogedy boo!

  4. The idea that God tortures people comes from preacher who want to scare people into doing better. They have good intentions, but their theology is way off course. It would be wise to get back to the Original Kingdom Gospel which is about increasing the light. More on my bio.

  5. No one has to go to h**l.

Jesus forgives everyone who repents their sins and accepts him.

  6. First, you have to realize that there really isn't any such thing as h**l, so there are no right answers.  It's all a matter of interpretation based on different mythologies.

Second, the idea about non-Christians going to h**l simply because they're not "saved," has been dealt with for centuries, most notably in Dante's Divine Comedy.  Most modern theologians have no use for a heaven that would bar someone like Gandhi from entering.

But, again, there really isn't a right answer because we are not dealing with the realm of reality here.

  7. h**l is hot, i hope you are not interested

  8. You receive back the treatment/effects you gave other people (including God and yourself) with some kind of multiplier effect.

  9. St Lurid, according to Scripture, if anyone, including other religions, that don't recognize that Jesus comes in the flesh to die for the sins of the world and they in turn die in there sins without believing on Jesus as their Savior they will receive eternal punishment.  Are there levels of punishment in h**l? yes there are.  On several occasions, when speaking of eternal torment, the Bible mentions those who will suffer to a lesser or greater degree but for lack of space I'll post only two for now. And each time such a reference occurs, the punishment is proportionate to the opportunities missed.  Of course the Hitlers, Stalins, and Pol Pots of the world will obviously receive a much more severe punishment.

Matthew 11:21-24   "Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent. 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had occurred in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 “Nevertheless I say to you, it will be "more tolerable" for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 “And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will descend to Hades; for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day. 24 “Nevertheless I say to you that it will be "more tolerable" for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.”

The most convincing argument for the concept of degrees of punishment derives from Jesus’ parable of the wicked servant, as recorded in Luke 12:46-48.

Luke 45-48   "“But if that slave says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and begins to beat the slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk; 46 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers. 47 “And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes, 48 but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more."

  10. People of any faith face their fate, depending on their goodness, and good or bad actions. There are levels of h**l, but same for people of all faiths. GOD is love, and so love is GOD. Love your fellow human beings, and all living creatures, and you love GOD, whatever your religion/faith may be....

  11. there are no levels of h**l the lake of fire consumes you you become deleted even memories of u get deleted no eternal burning no im in a higher level of h**l than u none of it is scriptural God is a CONSUMING fire and I (God) will consume u with fire from within think of it as writing a paragraph in notepad on your computer then readingit and deciding it is not good enough so you decide to start over so you right click the paragraph and hit delete that is what happens to you when you r sentenced to h**l except God is a consuming fire so He uses fire to delete you

any other teachings are of man not God

as far as other religions i believe God will nto say u r catholic so no not u u are mormon so no not u etc i believe He will say u kept my commandments and follow my word to the best of your ability you go to the eternity  or you did not follow My word you did not do as i commanded you go to the lake of fire

  12. The is no literal h**l, Although it is true that at the second judgement when God judges the wicked that they do burn for a period of time occording to there wrongs as a punishment, but they don't burn for ever, they die. Some people won't even burn they'll just be put to sleep.

People might think that's cruel, but some people on the earth have been extremely cruel, so should they be left unpunished?

  13. First of all, h**l is not eternal, & to thoe who think it is, then you will have eternal life, Let's read a little scriptures here, Turn to Rev.Chapter 20:13-15 It says at the judgement or the great white throne judgement day that only the wicked will be judged, Not to see if they will go to heaven or h**l, That Judgement is over when you die & wake up either in heaven or h**l.  But in Rev. 20:13-15 It says that h**l gave up the dead & death & h**l were cast into the lake of fire, this is the second DEATH. Therefore h**l or even the lake of fire is not eternl, But the wicked may be punish for 1000 yrs, or 1 Million yrs. but the end results is to die the 2nd death or annilation Or cease to exist no more.

  14. Any time spent worrying about something that can never happen is wasted time. I suggest you go about living your life the best you can, treat everybody the way you would like to be treated and leave the fantasies to others.

  15. Let me first say this is not my strongest subject.  I tend to go with the stuff that keeps people from h**l even if I don't fully understand the whole h**l part.  I am a Christian and believe that faith in Christ's sacrifice is what keeps us all outta there.

The way I have always understood it is that God made h**l for angels who decided that they would follow Satan.  It was not made for mankind and that this battle in Heaven took place while Adam and Eve were still in the Garden of Eden. We know that God said it is good when he finished day 6, so as of that point satan hadn't messed it up.

Isaiah 14:13 You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." 15 But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.

One third of the angels sided with Satan.  Then, with master cunning and deceipt, he got Adam and Eve to believe his lie.  And yes, it was deception, a lie.  God said that if they ate from that tree they would surely die, yet they didn't physically die, so He was talking about a spiritual death.  Satan knew the difference and made to Eve that God was lying and that they would not die.  Yet die they did, a spiritual death that separated them from their creator, God.  When the Bible refers to the second death (which leads to h**l) it is referring to not a physical death, where our bodies die, but a soul death, complete and total separation from God.

2 Thessalonians 1: 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power.  (NIV)

Only here on earth can we make the choice not to be completely severed from our creator, God, for eternity.  Only here do we have the choice to make.  Once we have our first death, our bodily death, we no longer can choose.

I have not seen that h**l or Heaven have layers, but I have seen that whoever is in h**l will not enjoy it.

  16. Islamically there are 7 levels of h**l, depending of what you have done, not to mention the punishment of the grave that we also believe in. We believe that you will be punished accordingly depending on the sin that you have committed. Even Muslims will be punished but as WE believe that people who repent and if they have served their punishment  some may go to heaven.

As different religions believe mainly Christians, Jews and Muslims....Each group believe that they are the correct religion and the rest is wrong but who knows? God will judge us and so we might as well do good regardless of the religion.

  17. you are delusional

  18. You'll only find that out once you're here.

  19. Its your h**l, you go and burn in it.

  20. By the 7 circles of h**l!

It has 7 concentric circles, each being more horrible as you move toward the center.

Satan lives in the center. In a nice walk up. With shrubbery and a lawn with 3 dogs.

You do realize that this is a Mythological tale, right?

  21. Anyone who hasn't heard sufficient about Jesus in their mortal life will have to submit to Him when they leave the mortal body or He will reject them and then they will be punished in h**l - but no one is punished forever and worse sinners have more punishment than others...

God eventually saves all of us from sin and punishment and shares His complete happy experience of eternity with everyone...

God reconciles all to Himself through Jesus Christ, Who makes peace through His shed blood and crucifixion (Col 1:20). Jesus is the Lamb of God Who takes away all the sins of all the world (Jn 1:29). The creation itself, also, shall be freed from the slavery of corruption into the glorious freedom of the children of God (Rom 8:21).

h**l's punishment is not forever but until the end of the eons - eonian punishment. People don't sin enough during their mortal lives for God to choose endless punishment besides it would spoil the future of eternity to have a section continually reserved for endless torture...

People are made by God to rebel against His ideal will for them and then offered a choice - forgiveness of their rebellion, or, punishment for their sins until they have paid the last 'penny'... After punishment, those who went through torture in h**l come to realise they need faith on God to succeed in life and they are converted into God's kingdom so that they cease from sinning and are rewarded for their compliance...

There are two bible translations which uphold the doctrine of Universal Reconciliation with God, and the union of all beings into experience of God as the all in each of us. For a free download of these bibles you can try this website:  http://www.scripture4all.org/

An outline of the bible references which support Christian Universalism has been posted at this webpage:  http://uk.geocities.com/timpauloconnor@b...

  22. There are different kinds of rewards for those who go to Heaven (that is scriptural) but I am not aware of any scripture that speaks of different levels of punishment in h**l.

It is a gross misconception that people will go to h**l because they have committed murder, molested children etc. There will be many murders and perverts in Heaven but they will be forgiven murderers and perverts who have confessed their sins with a contrite heart. God knows the heart and is not fooled by false confessions.

The criteria for getting to Heaven is loving Jesus and accepting Him as your Saviour (Saviour means He SAVED us and our sins are what He SAVED us from when He died in our place).

The criteria for getting to h**l is not loving Jesus, not accepting Him as your Saviour.  Any good works you do will count for nothing if you did not do them 'as unto Him'

As far as I am aware there will not be a worse place in h**l for murderers than there is for a non-believer but I'm prepared to be proven wrong if someone knows some scriptures on this subject.

  23. The things of God are universal, in the sense that they apply to everybody. God's laws are universal, and everybody will have to answer to God regardless of their faith.

Now Jesus says at the end of a parable, to those who receive a lot, a lot will be expected from them, this applies to our personally responsibility for our actions. At the bare minimum every single human has the laws of God within their heart, in other words... everybody knows the difference between right and wrong, and what should be considered right and wrong. The conscience also helps with this. Therefore, everybody is responsible for their actions and will be judged accordingly. However, someone who grows up in the faith, who learns about their faith, and grows in knowledge and truth... yet forsakes what he learns, has a heavier price to pay than the one who didn't know any better.

For example; take 2 children, one child is taught by his parents that it is wrong to take what doesn't belong to you, that we must work for the things we want and be honest in our transactions. The other child is taught by his parents that in life we need to be cut throat, its survival of the fittest, so if someone is foolish enough to leave a window open, they are asking to be robbed, that theft is ok because the stores are rich so they aren't hurting anybody. If the first child grows up and becomes a thief, and the second child grows up to be the same; when the day of their judgment comes the first child will be much more harshly judged than the second, because the first knew better. He knew it was wrong to take from others but he did it anyway... setting aside the laws he clearly knew. The second child will also be held responsible for his actions, but to a lesser degree because his knowledge of God's laws was not clearly known to him, as he was misguided to think it was ok what he did. He too will be punished for going against what was in his heart but it will not nearly be as harsh as the first child, but the laws in his heart were stiffed by the way he was taught by his parents. He is still responsible because he is free, although he was misguided he still retains his freedom, and intellect to release that what he was taught is wrong, along with knowing civil laws which denounce this sort of action.

So there are different degrees of damnation. God being the judge of souls, from whom nothing is hidden, is able to judge according to the big picture, too big for us to grasp, therefore it is not our place to consider where people go our how bad it will be for them in h**l. Our place is to be brothers/sisters for those sinners, praying for them, calling upon God's mercy for our wayward brothers/sisters who reject what they know as true, and also for those who never knew the truth, that they might come to know "it" and love "it." The truth not being an "it," but in fact a person... and his name is Jesus!

  24. Anyone who does not adhere to bible is sent to h**l. The Christian God just wants to be worshipped and could care less about good deeds

  25. Wikipedia Dante's Inferno, I think he made up like, 9 levels of h**l or something. The first one was for unbelievers and people, and it got progressively worse.
