If so, are they free? Or do I have to pay for them? If I have to pay for them, how much will they cost?

  1. I don't think so.  You need to be "fitted" for contacts otherwise ill-fitting contacts can harm your eyes.   You'll end up paying for the exam and fitting... maybe $100 ?

  2. http://promo.acuvue.com/promo/FreeTrial.... These are the brand of colored ones im going to get. I just went to their website. This says its a free trial for colored contacts , but im not sure if you have to pay shipping.

    Good Luck :]

    Opps--

okay sorry i didnt realize this i only read a little but it looks like you have to get a fitting before you get the free offer. So Sorry!!!!!!!

  3. yep and you can get a free sample, but they dont have a prescription.

  4. Yes you can ask. with any contacts you usually ahve to get a trial set first to see if they are going to irritate your eyes, and yes ou have to pay for them. The cost usually depends on what brand you want They can be anywhere from 18 to 250 depending on what kind and how often you want to change them.

  5. My eye doctor told me that they do not stock them but if I am interested they will order them and I can try them. If they don't feel right or you don't like them you don't pay. I would bet that some of these chain eye places would stock them and allow you to have a trial pair. Just call a few places and see what they say. Like everyone else they are trying to make money and want to sell them to you so if they think that giving you a trial pair will make the sale I'm sure they will.

  6. you dont need to go to the doctor you can bye them at ice or equip or some other places. the really colored contacts are about   $20-$25 and they last for 2-3 weeks or the not so stand out ones that are a bit ore expensive $30-$35 but they last longer for a bout 1 month. also you need to keep them in a special liquid.

  7. You should go ahead and just ask him/her.It also depends where you go.

  8. yes you can and yes they are free but they will not be prescription.

  9. He should give you a sample pair (if it's Wal-Mart, they do) then you can decide after that if you want to buy them. Prices vary, but you're looking at about $45.00 for 6 pairs.

They're fun, but the best are the non-colored that you can wear for a month without taking them out! Then you have a free pair for a month to start!

  10. Yes, you can ask your doctor for a trial pair, the companies give them to us to let you try on so of coarse they are free. There is a catch (isn't there always?) they don't give us trials with prescription in them, you can pop into your doctor's office, we'll let you try on all the colors you want, but you won't be able to see and they may say "test" or "demo" (depending on the brand) on them. It's not your doctor's fault, it's not your optician's, the manufacturers won't do trials in powers and put markings on the lens so that if you want to wear them out in public, you'll have to purchase them. Tricky, aren't they?

  11. YES and YES

  12. they are not free and i have no idea but the must be alot

  13. it all depends on where you go.

my friend got a free pair of colored contacts without perscription. but my contacts aren't colored at you can't get them free lol.

so just go to different places and see what they say

  14. yea they are testers! i dont even need contacts and i get them all the time.. but i guess it does depend on your eye doctor. call em up!

    good luck!!
