Like can I ask my eye doctor from LensCrafter to help me order my contacts outside of the country instead of ordering it online myself? Because the contacts I want isn't for sale here. (Which means they don't have it here)

  1. More than likely your doctor will not order a lens that is not available in the USA for you.  Most doctors will not prescribe a lens that they cannot evaluate on your eyes firsthand.   He might if you are willing to cover any and all costs associated with ordering them, fitting them, and any possible returns associated with them, but I doubt he'll be willing to take the risk for the health of your eyes in an unknown (to us) commodity.  Though I'm no expert at the legality of this situation, there may be a legal issue as well because all lenses available for prescription must have clearance by the FDA, and lenses not available in this country most likely do not have clearance.

  2. You can ask him anything that you want but it doesn't mean it's the best thing for you.  Talk to him about what you want and see what he says.
