If I could then would it cost? Also it's a baby and I haven't had him/her for very long. Would the vet do it? What would I do for heating him/her?

  1. Very few vets know enough about reptiles to do anything other than guess.

Since it's a baby, it's not really sexable anyway.

  2. Heating - A heat mat is ideal, it should be no bigger than half the viv. Place it under the tank on one side and then if you want to get a basking lamp, put the lamp on the same side of the viv as the mat. This allows the gecko to go to the cooler side of the viv when he needs to. It is also recommended to get a thermostat to prevent the mat overheating your gecko.

    Sexing -

If its a female it wont have the dot formation or the raised skin round its back end.

Keep in mind It may be too young to s*x it yet.

    **********Answering your second point**********

Dont worry he/her will be fine on the way to the vets, no heating is required.

  3. You can't tell until it's at least 6 months old, then it is pretty easy.  See link.  Don't worry about heat for short periods of  time.

  4. Yes the vet can do it and it would probably cost between $10-$30.

Here is a Link that you can go to and try and s*x it your self.

Get a heating pad at a local petstore and/or a heating light at a local petstore also.

    Good Luck!
