Recently I went to Lodhi restuarant in New Delhi to attend a painting exhibition preview. The party was in the garden porton of the restuarant. I kept my mobile phone on one of the tables and went in the restuarant building to the toilet. as soon as i returned after 4 minutes my mobile had disappeared. There were very few guests left besides me then. i asked a waiter who responded by ayin that such things ae diposited with the manager. When I aked the manager he was very defensive, tellin me that guests are themselves for there stuff. I didn't want to spoil the atmosphere then so I gave him my contact number n all that n proceeded home.

When I went there the next day n confronted the manager he was very elusive. When I asked him to check the security camera footages n check who picked up the phone first said that camera didn't have night vision mode. Then he changed n said that said that it covers only barn not whole garden. Is he believable? What're my options?Could he delete it?

  1. ask them.......talk to a lawyer i think you might have a legal right

  2. I do think you'll not ever see the cell phone again.  I hope you've reported it to your cell phone company.

Now, with regard to travel, I know for a fact that many employees along with their managers work together to lift things from people.  They work together so that no one reports seeing it, etc.  They even let money exchange hands in the back room.  If you call the police, they bribe the policeman to give you reasons which keep you from reporting a theft.  And, yes, the manager or anyone who knows how can delete the tape.

I wish you luck in this matter, but I won't be surprised if you do not have the phone returned to you.  What a shame that you didn't borrow a cell phone really quick from someone and dial your own number.  When the phone started ringing you would have known immediately where it was.

  3. he might be lyin but ummm u have a right to see the footage if u bring cops into the problem. and yes he can delete it!!

  4. You could ask them---  they could say no.

The police would have more pull to get the tapes--   you could get with them on the progress of the investigation and mention it.

  5. There might not be CCTV covering the whole area and its not a legal requirement to have it so he could delete it if he wants.

I guess if the police were involved they could demand the footage but if he doesn't have it there is not much you can do.

  6. The security cameras can not be tampered  easily. You lodge a FIR with the local police station and they can get the whole recording  and produce it in the court.

  7. yap u r right

i want to say that if manager say that camera didn't have right vision mode . and that after he said it covers only barn not whole garden........
