Can I assign my lease with my landlords consent, even if the contract said I cant?

Contract states that "Resident(s) shall not assign this Lease nor sublet all or any part of the Premises" but I was wondering, if i get the Landlord's permission to do so, can I assign the lease??

a new lease would have to be drawn up and signed by you and your landlord. you know that you would be responsible for all damages should they occur.

Yeah you can if you get permission but if you do have the permission in writing what you want is called an amendment to your contract
