Question:

Can I attend USC or a UC?

I have a 2.5 gpa, I'm a senior in HS I haven't taken my SAT or ACT yet, plan on doing that soon. Also my gpa would most likely go up at the end of the year, but my application needs to go out soon. So they would just see my gpa at the end of the first semester. So would it be wise to wait until the end of the year when my gpa will be much higher and go to college a little bit later? Is there any way I can go to USC(my dream school) or a good UC? Oh and I'm not really a big fan of jr. college, I really don't want to go there.

  1. Your GPA is a bit low for USC or UC.  If you ace all your courses, and end up with a GPA over 3.5 (a big stretch), then apply later.

  2. 3.0 should be good enough for some uscs

  3. wow your gpa is a big thing colleges look at but if u have a clean permanent record and are good at school u might have a chance    plus i here that this year some people are getting in easy

  4. With a 2.5 GPA you'll definitely get into a CSU school but I'm pretty sure you need to have at least a 3.2 in order to get into a UC school and you'll practically have to have a 4.0 or higher to get into USC. And they look at your gpa from Freshman year all the way til you're finished so I think a CSU would be your best bet. But hey you can always apply and see what happens. And hey a jr. college is a great way to start your college education, why pay thousands of dollars for one single course at a UC school (or CSU) when you can take an equivalent course at a JC for only a hundred or so.
