Can I attest my degrees from Mysore & Madras universities at Hyderabad (India)? If yes, where at Hyderabad?

I am processing my work permit which is been sponsored by a Dubai company. Where can i attest my certificates in Hyderabad? Do I need to travel to Mysore and Madras (Universities where I am holding the degrees from) to do the attestation. If yes, where at Mysore & Madras. How long will it take for attestation? After this I may have to get the attestation from MEA and the UAE embassy in Delhi. Correct me if I am wrong.

No my friend you cannot attest the degrees from Mysore or Madras Universities at Hyderabad. For this you will have to go to Delhi.

Getting attestation at Delhi is a very simple and three stage process which will require two days.

Step 1. Reach the University Grants Commission office at Chanakyapuri at 7.00 AM and stand in the long queue to submit your certs. Once the certs are approved from this office, follow step 2. This office will approve that your university is a UGC recognized univ. and the certs are genuine.

Step 2. On the same day between 12 PM to 2 PM reach the office of Ministry of External Affairs. It is also at Chanakyapuri and it at the walking distance ( 20 minutes ) from the earlier office. Submit your certs here again and keep a photocopy with yourself. Take your lunch here after submission of the certs !!!! You will have to wait here till 5.00 PM. This office will approve that your certificates are from a genuine university and the External Affairs Ministry takes the responsibility of it.

Step 3. Reach the office of Embassy of UAE at ChandraGupta Marg, ChanakyaPuri next day sharp at 10.00 Submit your certs here ( carry INR 2100 for each degree certificate to be attested. If you are a B.Com + MBA and want to get both the certs attested then carry INR 4200.00) Wait outside the office till 3.00 PM and collect your ATTESTED CERT.
