  1. One cake mix goes into two 8x8 pans or one 13x8 pan. so 104 vs 168. You can probably get two mixes in that pan or make 8 cupcakes and put the rest of the batter into the pan. Look on the box for the cooking time. Take the time for a circle pan, the time for a 13x8 pan, see what the difference is and add that to the longest cooking time and you should have a decent estimate for your sized pan. In other words, if one pan is 30 min, another is 35 min, then cook it for 40 min.

  2. you can mix the two. as for time, check it  on the time on the box by sticking a toothpick in the center. if it comes up with anything sticking to it . its not done. leave it it until you can do that and it comes up dry, if its starting to get too dark on top, turn your heat down a little.

  3. I don't think so,  it would probably fit.  but it would be so thick in the middle that it would take forever to cook and the outsides would start to overcook.  You could mix up 2 cake mixes, use about one and a half in your pan--that should work and then make cupcakes with the rest.

  4. There should be instructions on the box for doubling it. If not then just watch it carefully. Otherwise, it will fit just fine. It will come out thicker.

  5. Yes. Add 10 minutes to the time given on the box for a sheet pan baking (using the temperature it gives for it), then check the middle with a toothpick. If it doesn't come out clean, then give it a few more minutes.

If it seems that the edges are baking too fast as compared to the middle, then have some aluminum foil ready to place around the edges of the pan while it finishes baking, shiny side up.
