Question:

Can I be Indigo, too?

I state flatly, I am not a psychic.

And yet today, a friend proclaims that I'm one of the ones who is supposed to have all kinds of powers and do all kinds of great things with my life and... yeah, I'm pretty doubtful. But then she pointed out that I have good luck, where survival is concerned. It's true: there are lots of things that should have killed me, but didn't, usually due to incredible strings of well-timed luck or coincidence. But 30 in a row is a little high for chance.

She asked if I knew what the Indigo Children were. I do, of course. But I suggest that these things that characterize Indigo's are things we can trace throughout folklore history for tens of centuries... they're not new, and nothing really indicative of "a step up the ol' evolutionary ladder" really pops out at me.

So, what makes an Indigo? Is it only the aura? Could the clairvoyant who prophesied the end of the world (in many traditions) be indigo? Does anything actually prevent me from being Indigo?

Well, other than that people think I'm a jerk sometimes, and don't care that people think that. I try to be nice to people, but if they give me a line of BS, I'm going to tend to try to figure out what they're talking about before I accept or reject it.

So, is it possible?

  1. There's a lot of myths about indigos and crystals. People think they can box people up into stereotipical roles, which are far from being accurate. There's a few truths which I'll talk about..

Basically those souls are ONLY people who incarnated on planets that were not Earth, more times than here-So that they are not used to it Those souls have an innate need to be spiritual and live moral lives.

The big difference between indigos and crystals are that indigos have more of a firey temper than do crystals.

These souls are advanced, and wouldn't feel the need to get themselves into habits or trouble. But yes , all of them have 'abilities' b.c that is the whole point of them being here- to show others that there's life after death, a spiritual path and that we need to straighten up this world.

As other people have said, it's been used as a fad to make people feel special-which I think is why it got mixed into 'autistism'-Yes autistic children may be indigo, no not all of them.

Right now and at 2012 it will be possible for people to become more aware of their own morals,  spiritual path and will start to see spirits-and if this happens to them they can change their energy vibrations-changing the colour o ftheir aura to match those who are alraedy there/indigos/crystals.

I do not use the term indigo much anymore..It doesn't serve any purpose to label.

PS- indigos are said to have tempers but NOT about  negativity. They use their anger to fight an injustice and in a healthy manner. They fight for what they want..but no indigo is  hurtful.

  2. I see you've developed an acute symptom of "Am I Special" syndrome.

There are some people that just seem to have good luck no matter what obstacles come their way.

And then there are some that have consistent bad luck for no reason, but are good people none the less.

Everyone takes up an interest in something.

And for some people, it's the New Age, metaphysical sciences.

So then they read up on Clairvoyance, being an Indigo child, aura's, and so forth.

And then when they have kids, Jr. poops in his diaper and the parent claims they can see the face of Satan in it, suddenly their child becomes one of the "special" ones.

  3. Indigo children or spoiled brats as they used to be called. To me one of the most obnoxious ideas new agers have come up with.I don't blame the kids though it's the wacky adults putting the ideas in their heads.A plain old normal kid's not good enough for them,no sir.

Having read most of your questions and answers.I'll say you are not a spoiled bra--I mean Indigo child.I don't agree with you much. You don't seem like the self absorbed I'm special to Gaia Indigo type.

As far as your lucky streak.I'd bet I'm older then you.By a couple of decades at least.I passed 30 should have been killed back in the 70's.I've lost count at this point. What makes us diferent from the caualties?A little luck and we learn from experience.

  4. Your not special get over yourself.

  5. anything is possible but i really dont know

  6. Maybe a true Indigo is not born but is made by having a worthy and spiritually aware life, and not stifling your intellect but allowing it to blossom intelligently and creatively and take advantage of all the mysteries the cosmos has to offer.

  7. Indigos are kids that have a very old spirit.

  8. I can't tell you, and even though you asked this in an open forum, I doubt you would care about my answer, but I agree with the things Nice Guy said about them and you.  If there is such a thing, and you are one, how would that change you?  Would it make you try to do more, accomplish more because of these special abilities?  I would suggest trying to do that anyway.  Very few people make full use of their opportunities, and if you believe the possibilities of special powers would make you more productive, I guess that is what it is.  It is sad if people need these phony constructs to reach their full potential in life.
