  1. Wounds probably won't matter. Glasses and Lasik don't either. You should be just fine if you want to be a pilot

  2. maybe not military (although I don't think they would have any problems with some wounds) but you could absolutely make it in the civilian world.

It is not as demanding as everyone seems to think. You are fine even with glasses as long as your eyes are corrected to 20/20.

There are disqualifying medical conditions out there, heart problems and major mental disorders are the big two. but as long as you are in good health you will be fine.

  3. previous injuries should not be a problem at all... just as long as they don't affect your ability to use your arm now.

Glasses are also fine... your eyesight must be 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses, but can be less than 20/20 without correction.

I would stick to glasses or contacts thoguh... Laser eye surgery is very risky and can also lead to problems in the future... Most aviation authorities prefer you not to have laser surgery.

So... simple answer, YES... you can be a pilot (providing you pass the rest of the medical)... but think twice about the LASIK surgery.

  4. You don't need lasik.  Glasses are fine as long as your distant vision is correctable to 20/20.

  5. Your fine but just make sure you have good vision 20/20 other than that your good.

P.S If you wanna know more about being a pilot go on How stuff works and type in Being a Airline Pilot and read all that cool stuff

    Good Luck
