im 5'6 to 5'6 and a half and i just wanted to know if i could be a model, is that to short? or do you have to be 5'7 because i just saw the casting requirements for the contestants on america's next top model. it said you have to be 5'7 to go but i don't want to go for that. I want to apply for a modeling agency but idk if i'm to short.

  1. You would be titled a petit model, but yes there are cat runways with petit models, but it will be harder for you because of your hight!

  2. Yeah, you can, did you know that Kate Moss is actually 5'5.

  3. I think your a little short. i heard you had to be 5'8 but you could always give it a shot! good luck

  4. Well, I heard 5'7 is usually the shortest most modeling agencies will take, but I think it's okay if you don't do runway. Like you could do photoshoots for clothing lines and make up.

But you should apply anyway and see what they say.

  5. runway models usually have to be tall, but some agencies don't judge on height. the whole business is superficial, so you have to have a great body and facial features! good luck =)

  6. yeah , unfortunately your a little too short , the requirements are 5'8 but may vary in different places but you should at least be 5'7 because when i went a few girls were 5'7 and too short , but you might as well go and see it doesn't hurt to try just wear bell bottom jeans that elong your legs and wear higher heals to make you look very tall and then  they actually might consider you

although you could always consider being a model just for magazines of pictures as for runways you have to be atleast 5'10 to 6 feet

  7. you can definitely model. as for RUNWAY or HIGH FASHION modeling, i don't know about that. most of the models are around 5'10"ish. kate moss was around 5'6" but she's definitely a rare exception. but i'd say you're certainly tall enough for commercial modeling.

  8. 5'8 is short for a model.

but you could do like clothes modeling. i always see peopel your height in magazines

  9. I think it doesn't matter how tall you have to be.If you try out for ANTM,there might be requirements, but if you want to just be a regular model, you can be 5'6 and it doesn't matter.
