I am 16. I think I am an okay actor. I got best actor award in my period this year, but I have scars some on my elbow and some on my hand both of those are fairly unnoticeable. The worst one is on my head it is a bald spot small but noticeable sometimes. would that prevent me from getting a career as an actor? What I really want to do is voice acting for animes and such. I am 16 if you were wondering

  1. I don't see how that would set you back any..if your really nervous, or self conscience about it, you can always get plastic surgery. But I bet you have a good talent for acting/ character voice overs. Follow your dreams young man!!

  2. Nothing can keep you from being an actor but you.  If you want it badly enough, you will find a way scars or no scars... Good Luck!

  3. sure, scars often give more character to an actor

  4. the only thing that can stop an actor from being great is, well lameness... so if your goo than ya!

  5. Make-up can do anything these days, plus once you become an actor and you become rich and famous...you'll have enough money to get rid of them and make it seem like they never did exist! lol ;)

  6. No it wont stop you unless you let it.Not only that theres stuff they can do to cover it if they need to.

  7. NO! THESE SCARS WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE FOR YOU AT ALL! ESPECIALLY FOR GUYS - SORRY BUT IT'S THE TRUTH  - GIRLS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MORE PERFECT AND PRETTY - BUT EVEN THAT SHOULD NOT STOP ANYONE WHO REALLY WANTS SOMETHING BAD ENOUGH.

FOR A GUY IT GIVES YOU EVEN MORE COOL CHARACTER AND MAKES YOU STAND OUT. DON'T LET THIS BOTHER YOU AT ALL - JUST HAVE FUN AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL . GO FOR IT!

AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR VOICE STUFF - THEN IT REALLY MAKES NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE - LEARN AS MANY ACCENTS AND DIALECTS AS YOU CAN AND PRACTICE BY TURNING OFF THE VOLUME ON SOME ANIME YOU LIKE AND FILL IN WITH SOME OF YOUR OWN UNIQUE CHARACTER VOICES - MAKE THE VOICE SOUND LIKE WHAT THE CHARACTER LOOKS AND ACTS LIKE - MEAN. TOUGH, SWEET, SCARED, ANGRY, EXCITED ETC.... IT'S A LOT OF FUN AND GREAT TRAINING FOR YOU!

    GOOD LUCK!

  8. yeah of course

    being different is better :)

  9. That is not relevant. ... the key point is to be an artist. Just pursue it, perform, perform, perform, in any possible play to get seen by as many people possible... You also have to identify a style that you want. A person, group, or company that really make you think "I want to do that". Find a way to practice with their technique (and i said practice, besides study). practice is finally what will get you on stage in a solid way. Make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. Being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. Get your family support. Welcome! Best of luck

  11. ever heard of air-brushing? make-up artists do use that method on celebrities. it's where you spray make up rather than dab it on with your finger. your chances are still up there, don't worry
