I have Part 1 C&G electrical installation,16th edition regs and have passed my AM1. Is that enough to work as an electrician and if so who would be good people to approach?

  1. N o. The c&g part 1 is not seen by the industry as the recognized standard. You need C&g part 2 minimum. If you look at the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 it states that you must have the adequate technical knowlege and experience. This is law.

  2. No. you need level two, level three,18 edition regs, test and inspect, then you need to be in an apprentiship for at least two years and a sertain amount of your work verified by an GIB registered electrcian. You have to have compiled so many pieces of evidence.

Thats why i'm doing ITC Technitian level and level three, learning how to build computers. Garanteed a job after it upon getting your COSCO Qualification.
