Can I be arrested or taken to jail in the state of ohio for cashing a money order?

Well I was approached by a "manager" in my complex asking me to cash some money orders for him because he lost his id .Well come to find out he has been stealing residents money orders and cashing them and keeping the money. Oh yeah and turned out he was not the manager he just worked in the office. Im confused and dont know what to do

  1. you need to talk to the apartment complex and the cops and explain what happened the longer you wait or if they find you first then it looks really bad if you explain your side of the story then you are more likely to get out of this


  2. Even if you did nothing you can be put in jail. A cop can legally detain you for 48 hours and not give you a word about why they did it. When its all done and your hours are up all they have to say is well we have discovered you are innocent even if they had no reason to do it in the first place. Now you must be a huge idiot to fall for the scam he pulled. Also you must have a lot of free time if you can check someone elses money order. But if you can point out the guy and hes busted you have an alibi and your fine.
