i was arrested in august of last year for family battery towards my ex husband. basically he wasn't suppose to be around me to a no contact bond because he jumped on me while i was feeding my son. tried to break my arm. so they arrested him for domestic violence and child cruelty. a few months later he would stop by on different occasions if i let him. well one day we erupted into a physical fight. he left. he tried to break into the house and i called the police. when the police arrived he had ran. then the police told me if this happen again to give him a call. so about 4 hours later he called the police on me. he wrote this bogus witness statement. the police asked me was i aware of the domestic violence law in ga, i told him yes. then he told me i was going to jail. he didn't even arrested my ex. then i told him that he was out on a bond to not be around or near me. he asked me did i have paperwork to prove it. i told him no because i was handcuffed, how can i search for it? so i was locked up for 3 days. my command got me out. i deployed in feb, so i just found out that i had a court day in august that i missed because i was deployed. now they have this bench warrant out, but my command is working things out on their end. can they drop the charges due to the no-contact bond that my ex violated? in that case why didn't the police check his background? i'm confused i was told it is suppose to get thrown out of court but i dunno. any answers will be helpful.

  1. yeah

  2. I really don't know the law but it sounds like this will be thrown out.  I am so sorry that you have had to go through all of that.  You don't need it and your ex has some big problems.  Hang it there . I am thinking of you and hoping all works out fine for you.  God bless.

  3. wow sounds like a terrible situation..sorry to hear you have to go through it. it should be thrown out..but then again i wouldn't depend on the military..my brothers in the military and they mess up his paperwork all the time..i would double check and make sure they police have all the records you know of going against your ex..the more evidence against him the better it will make you look.

hope that works out, i'll pray it does and we thank you for your service to the country.
