Can I be discharged out of the Marine Corps?

I recently suffered a gunshot wound to my foot. It wasnt on purpose and i didnt break any bones, but i did sever some nerves and may not get feeling back in a cpl toes. Its not too bad but can I get discharged with this type of injury

  1. Possible if you can get declared unfit for duty. You also get disability benefits from the military in this case also.

  3. To the guy who's answer is above mine! Chill the F@#$ out. Whats your military experience life like, and have you also been in the same situation as him. The Marine is asking a question for knowledge about the situation he is in and you are no help to him. So I suggest to you to shut your mouth and and if you weren't going to help the Marine then you shouldn't have posted anything replying to his question. He could give a d**n about your personal opinion in the matter. So go jump off a d**n cliff and have some respect as I am sure you would have expected the same you dumb, ignorant **** bag.

    ... And to answer the question, yes it could be possible if it causes problems after you are healed but I wouldn't worry too much, Devil, just adapt and over come.


  4. It's possible, but if it doesn't keep you from performing your duties or passing a PFT, there's really no reason to be discharged.
