I recently got my license and am under my mothers car insurance policy, however; I'm staying at my aunts this summer and have to drive my pap's car to work. My pappy (98 yrs old) is transferring the car in my name..and getting insurance in my name only for 6 months. My question is..can i be on two policies (a state farm and nationwide) at once? Or would I have to be taken off of the one with my mother? My mother is being rude about it and won't call, so I am asking here.

  1. Hello

firstly there isnt such thing as a "Pap" or "Pappy" in general english. But, yes you can be on as many persons policies as you like. You could be a named driver on any persons cover, and have your own for your car.

    Remember the cover types

    - Comprehensive

    - 3rd Party

    - 3rd Party, fire and theft

  2. You can be on any number of policies.

  3. They can probably add your pappy's car to your current insurance and remove it when you are done using it. It may be easier that way.

  4. Yes, you can be a listed operator on as many policies as you want.
