My job has caused me high levels of stress during the last year and a chronic back problem - that now requires surgery - has escalated because of the stress levels and working conditions. I have been suspended from work over an incident that I feel was due to me being exhausted and physically and mentally unwell. Can I be signed off work by my doctor for stress and receive sick pay having been suspended? And have I got legal grounds to claim my mis-judgement was because of the levels of stress I was under?

  1. If your job is stressful, get one that isn't.

If you are already suspended, you cannot ask for sick pay.

Quit trying to get something for nothing and get a job.

  2. Doubt that an appeal for sick pay AFTER a suspension would be held valid; but you could try.

  3. nope it wouldnt be legal as you were suspended before you saw said doctor

feel free to try but its called fraud enjoy prison
