Can I be up-graded to Band 6 despite not appealing?

I am a staff nurse, currently Band 5. I did not appeal but my colleagues did and have been re-graded to Band 6. Our jobs are identical and in some cases I am more qualified. What are my chances of being up-graded

Very good chance, speak to your manager and see what they say. If they refuse speak to your union- that's why you pay for them each month!!

I would imagine a very good chance, the whole point of the grading system is that you should get equal pay for equal work, which is what you are saying you do. They have set a precedent by moving your colleagues up a band, therefore you should be moved up too. Speak to your manager, and prepare a good case with evidence of the work you do.
