I'm asking this question becuase ive been looking into the NROTC thing, and I'm really interested in maybe majoring in Middle Eastern Studies, and i was hoping that if I did that, I could join the Marine Corps Security Guard, and be on embassy duty over there. But I've been researching some things and all i found was that only NCO's and enlisted men are put on embassy duty... is this true? Cause that would be the dream job for me.

  2. Most marine detachments have an officer in charge.  A few have only a senior NCO.  Try picking a few embassies, large and small, and contact the embassy yourself to see if they have any officers with the detachment.  Then make your own evaluation of the likelihood.

  3. i don't know just continue your search directly in the millitary web site.
