Yes if you have no serious eye problems . I would check with an FAA / JAA medical examiner before you spend any money on flight school. good luck.

You have to have a spare pair of corrective lenses - contacts or glasses.

Yes, absolutely. Many pilots have them today; probably many more than you think. Also, if your vision needs correcting DON'T get LASIK so that you wont have to wear them. For some reason this can dabilitate a pilot's vision or hinder their abilities, so wear glasses if needed.
