I am currently a psychology major. I've already received my associates degree and I am going to be starting my junior year soon. I am interested in taking advantage of an internship program that Walgreens has to offer for those who would like to become a store manager. It says on their website (link at the bottom) that college students should apply, but that’s pretty much all they say about that. They don’t specify what the college student's major should be. Do you think I would be able to take advantage of this internship and eventually become a successful store manager with a psychology degree, or do you think I must major in business management in order to achieve this? Would this internship be enough to train me well for this position or would I need additional training by majoring in business management? I would like to earn my bachelor’s degree in psychology as this is what I am interested in the most (plus I really dislike taking math classes which I believe business management requires quite a bit of), but is it possible for me to major in psychology and still be able to take advantage of this opportunity and other opportunities like this? By the way, please don't just write some short comment saying a psyche degree is useless. I've already read enough of that on here. Please elaborate if you can. Thanks for your help!
