I've been arrested two times but never charged? 1 case was sealed and the other was dropped. They were Misdemeanors also.

  1. It depends on what you were arrested for, but I'd say your odds are pretty good that you'll get hired.  You should, of course, disclose the arrests on the application where it says to, and be prepared to explain them.  No one is perfect and there are a number of teachers out there with actual charges on their records, sadly enough.  I'd say apply for the job you want, show them that the arrests were mistakes and not who you are, and be totally honest.

If, however, the arrests were for anything involving children, including something like statutory rape, my guess would be that you'd have a hard time getting hired.

    Good luck to you!

  2. im pretty sure you could

  3. Before you get your heart set on it, check your own records to see if they show up. My buddy had a minor drug conviction when he was in his early 20s and found that even though he was almost 40 when he got his teaching degree, he was pretty much unhirable.

On the other hand, my record came through perfectly clean even though there were a bunch of traffic things on it from when I was young and stupid.

  4. Depends on where you are and depends on what they were ,but probably you could.
