I have no experience other than from a play when i was a kid. i have a strong accent, but my English is excellent. I have a lot of talent, but like I said no experience,so there is nothing to put in my resume. If I decide to come (which I probably will) where should I start?

  1. You should start out by taking lessons here in the US.  Even if you have talent, most casting agents won't sign anyone who doesn't have any experience or formal training (unless you're a child actor).   You also might want to take some voice lessons to get rid of your accent (your english maybe excellent, but you might get typecasted in roles because of your accent).

Hope this helps and I wish you the best :)

  2. It will be hard! I moved to america two years ago, from sweden. For almost the same reason. I wanted to be in operas, though. When you come to america, I suggest you find a job first, then do a few community theatre plays. That would be enough experience to get you to be in a paid theatre play, do a few of those, and you have enough experience to do whatever you want. If you are talented, they look at that before your resume. Although, five plays would be a good thing in America!

Hope I helped, and Good luck!
