Unfortunately recidivism is extremely high for those diagnosed with gambling addiction.  Recovery is a commitment, a progressive lifestyle change with ongoing participation in support groups.  If and when relapse occurs, the surrounding support provides this as an opportunity for change.  When facing this problem alone your failures are met with more despair and hopelessness.  If your loved one refuses to get help, then it is vital for you to seek help for yourself.  There are open AA,GA meetings available or professional help that will provide YOU with support.
