  1. Yes you can and here is how you can do that:

How do I block mail from a specific sender? Can I un-block it later?

  2. Of course, remember that if you get an email that you suspect is spam, please select it in your email reader application, or web site, and designate it as spam by either clicking on the spam button, or try right-clickin on the message and selecting something like "report as spam".

You can use filters to send all of those emails elsewhere.

This is an example of setting up a filter in Outlook Express.

If you were using Outlook Express, for example, then click TOOLS > MESSAGE RULES > MAIL...

The upper box says '1. Select the Conditions for your rule:' Click a box next to a 'rule' that you want to set. For example, if the sender always puts their name at the bottom of the email, put a check next to the rule that says "Where te message body contains specific words".

In the next box, under "2. Select the Actions for your rule:" click the box next to "Delete it". If you wanted to get nasty, you could also click "Forward it to people" to instantly send the message back to her.

In the next box, under "3. Rule Description (click on...)", click on the underlined words to edit them. So, click on "contains specific words".

Type (a) recurring word(s) in the upper box and click "Add". For example, her name would go in this box. Now click "OK".

If you are also forwarding this message to someone else, click on "people" in the "3. Rule Description..." box.

Type in their email address and click "OK".

Under box '4. Name of the rule:', type something that you want to name it.

When you are done, click "OK", and then "OK" at the next window to activate this rule.

This is a sample of how to create a 'rule', or often referred to as a 'filter', in Outlook Express. The same idea applies to other email clients (programs) in setting up filters when you keep getting annoying emails.

Also, usually these emails that you are referring to come from over-seas, and consequently there are no authorities that would be able to help you in this matter.  Also, if you spam them back, no doubt your account will be closed.  I do not recommend replying back, as then they know your email address is legit, and no doubt you will start getting many more junk emails.

As a rule of thumb, always use a secondary email address when filling out forms or anything else that asks you for your email address.  Only give your real email address to your friends and ask them not to send you any chain letters or anything like that.  When that happens, your email gets sent to an unknown number of people and all of those emails are then given to spammers.  You will start getting very annoyed.

    Hope this helps.
