Can I break an employment bond before the tenure,in Wipro Call Centre,Delhi.Please advice??

But I heard acc to the IPC,no company can bind any employee.What u say?

  2. I agree with the post: It all depends on the terms of your contract.

    1] Do you have a genuine reason to leave? if you have got a better job elsewhere and thats the reason...then it is not a good one to state before your employer.

    2] Generally even in a contract a notice period is mentionned. Did you discuss this with your employer during your interview?

    3] If you want to leave for medical reasons or for matter that the work conditions are not suitable for you..then clear this matter with a lawyer and leave.

    In some  cases if the employee leaves without a notice period or within short time of joining then the company will deduct expenses related to employee development like training etc.

  3. Yes you can terminate the contract. How, depends on what agreement you have entered into. There would be a clause which stipulates how either party can discontinue the contract.

    A contract cannot force you to continue at a place unless the company has invested some money in training you or preparing you for the assignment. There should be a sound reason for retaining you for the contract period, in the absence of which it cannot be enforced.

    Even when there is a reason to enforce you may have to pay the appropriate amount.

  4. No you cannot.They may sue you if you break it.You must've thought about that before you signed it.

  6. Go through the terms of the bond carefully and note down your rights and obligations as per the terms. Consult a legal expert on the issue if you yourself don't understand and can't anticipate actions against you.

    Even if you must, there are always penalty clauses to discharge your obligations.

    Also, check for any precedence in your company of similar situations and try to find out what action(s), if any, company has initiated in such cases.

    Always take a well informed decision.
