Can I bring a broadband modem from other other country to Malaysia? Will it work?

I'm going to be in Malaysia/KL for a couple of weeks, and noticed that the local 'landline' broadband providers seem to do deals 'with' or 'without' modem. Seeing as I have one or two spare ones lying about here in the UK, will I be able to use it if I bring it with me to KL and use it with the networks there?

yes....why dont u just use yr mobile as a modem it is so much easier....

maybe can,..my brother use an unknown device hehehe when he is here (he's working in u.s)...
