Can I bring a camera to the MTV VMA's?

I won tickets to the awards show this weekend, and I am hoping that I can bring my camera inside! Has anyone ever been? What should I expect?

we won tix too, but it says on the release from MTV that cameras are prohibited. THey told us we can take pics at the red carpet, but have to figure out what to do with camera before going in.
