  1. I live in Mexico...You can drive your truck here, just remember to have some type of identification showing it belongs to you. There is Diesel in Mexico and its cheap. Don´t forget your passport cause you can´t go home without it even if your driving.  No it doesn´t cost money, but you need to stop at the border place on the inside of Mexico and fill out tourist papers. Just ask forsomeone who speaks english if youdon´t speakspanish and they will helpyou out from there.

Oh and for the other guy...yes Mexicans can drive cars with American plates into Mexico. If they own the vehicle they never have to change it to a Mexican one. :o)

  2. You can drive it to Mexico, they do have diesel fuel in Mexico, gas is cheaper in Mexico, BUT...you CANNOT leave it here in Mexico.  Mexico has very strict laws about the importation and nationalization of vehicles into the country.  ONLY vehicles that are exactly 10 years old may be imported and given or sold to family or others to keep in Mexico.  So , right now, only 1998 vehicles can be nationalized...there are many "brokers" at the border crossings that know how to do the paperwork for this.  If YOU are visiting in Mexico, or living in Mexico with an appropriate visa, you may keep your American car with you after getting a car permit for it...but a Mexican citizen cannot receive or purchase an American car and register it in their name unless it is exactly 10 yrs old.  There is frequently  stuff on the news about changing this law...but it has not happened yet.

  3. They do sell diesel in Mexico.  Currently, it's about half the price that it is in the US.

You can drive your truck into Mexico.  However when you leave the country, it has to leave with you or they do charge a fee.  Plus if I remember correctly, Mexicans aren't permitted to drive cars in Mexico with American plates.
