Can I bring a hedgehog from a legal area to an illegal area?

I have a hedgehog from Calgary Alberta and im going to Windsor Ontario which is an illegal city to have a pet hedgehog. So were driving through the U.S.A and then back to canada with my pet hedgehog into windsor which is illegal, Will they let me? And i know u think were crazy, driving all the way to windsor from calgary but please dont say anything i just need to know if i can pass through!! Thankzzz!!!!!

It is illegal to own hedgehogs in Windsor, ON even if you brought the animal from a city where hedgies are legal.

You will also have problems taking a pet into the USA, especially an exotic pet, as many times a pet must be quarantined to ensure there are no diseases being carried from country to country. Since you are only technically visiting, I am not sure how this will work out.

Are you moving to Windsor, or just visiting? If you are visiting, find someone to look after your pet while you are away. If you are moving to Windsor, I don't know what to suggest. People have tried keeping illegal pets, and although some have successfully passed under the radar, some haven't been so lucky and their pet has been taken away and destroyed.

Please put the animal's welfare first and remember what the outcome could be. Also, make sure that your hedgehog is comfortable for any journey, especially one this long. They still need a warm and constant temperature and water.
