I am currently going to school in New York but the rest of my family lives in Canada. Seeing as I can not legally purchase alcohol in the US, can I legally purchase it in Canada and bring it back with me.

  1. I know you can bring a certain amount of alcohol to US but it may need to be purchased at the duty free shop which would card you.

So I'm not totally sure. But I do know that there is a limit to how much can cross the border.

  2. Yes you can. 1 bottle per person or 1 dz beer per person. Purchased at the duty free.

  3. Not if you're underage.  I used to go to Canada a lot when I was 19 and 20 and managed to bring back a few bottles, but that was pre-9/11 and increased security.

  4. no.

why not read up on customs my dear.
