  1. last I checked (June 22) when we flew home it was 3.6 oz. No nothing larger. There was a bin behind the workers filled with stuff-mostly water bottles- that were confiscated

  2. yes you can put whatever size you need in your actual suitcase... but for the carryon, less than three oz., and all liquids must be in a gallon ziploc bag, and removed at the time you put your bag on the conveyor at the security checkpoint, and put into the tray alongside your bag.

  3. Yep. 3 oz. rule is for carry on only. Go ahead and put whatever amount of liquids you want underneath.

  4. That's a carry on rule only...

  5. Yes that is only for carry ons. You can bring any size you like that will be checked and not carried on.

  6. You are correct- the 3 oz rule is for carry on only. However, to help keep the weight of your checked baggage down review what you are packing- do you have to bring the item from home or can you buy it when you get there? Unless you are going to outer Mongolia you can get anything you need anywhere in the world.

  7. This size is only for the bottle that you keep with you on the plane.  You can have anything in your luggages.  It's to protect against people who are traveling with product to make bomb.

In your luggages under the plane there is no possibility for you to use it, so you're good.
