Can I bring food into Ireland from the US?

I want to pack some dry snack foods for my 1 year old while we're in Ireland. The food will be crackers, cereal, etc along with some powder drink mixes. No dairy or meat products. Can I bring this type of food along? Is it ok to check some of this in my luggage? Can I put the food into another container (does it need to be in the oringial packaging?) thanks for the help.

keep it in the original package and bring it with your onboard luggage just ask is it alright with some of the staff members
