Can I bring hand grenades with me while hiking in the Yukon? I am concerned about being eaten by a Grizzly?

Seriously, hiking in the Yukon during the summer can be very risky business with all of the grizzlies down by the rivers. Why not a hand grenade to save my life? Pepper spray will not save your life.

  1. Just make sure to wrap a steak around the grenade with the pin sticking out for easy access.  This will guarantee ingestion.

If you have room in your kit, I'd also recommend a flamethrower.

  2. You have got to be kidding.  You would probably blow yourself up when pulling the pin and arming the grenade.  Please comes back in a few years when you are a little more mature and ready for a real adventure, not the one you imagine.

  3. hand grenades ? grizzlies are very fast the chances of hitting a bear with a grenade before he attacked you would be slim to none.

  4. Stay home and play Halo. Do you have any idea how few grizzly attacks happen in the Yukon?? About 1 every 5 years. What makes you think:

    a) that you're special

    b) that you somehow have the right to kill a bear when you go into their habitat

    c) that you could get your hands on a grenade in the first place

    d) that you could get it into Canada

    e) that a 3-5 second delay on a grenade would even do you any good with an animal that can run 40 mph??

  5. if your scared don't go, after all it is the bears habitat your invading!

  6. No ,if they smell you ,or even a tuch of your smell...fat ugly Smoker and Drunk man they will dissapear

  7. Well, assuming you are getting there by plane, you will most likely be arrested for carrying illegal weapons when you go through security.

  8. Yes, but it is illegal to bring the pins with you. You must take them out and leave them at home...

  9. Sure why not, bring also yor collection of uzis.....

  10. Sure...if you don't mind spending 2-5 PER GRENADE in the longbar hotel...

Possession of Military Grade Explosives is an indictable offence.

Unlicensed possession of ANY explosives is an indictable offence.

Contact the Territory's Tourism Bureau. For that type of protection, I'd suggest obtaining a firearms permit and a heavy calibre pistol.

    Good Luck!

  11. Please stay home and watch National Geographic.

  12. I was going to answer you but putzes aren't worth the effort!

  13. Just bring a gun and/or a dog like a normal Canadian.

  14. Hand grenades seem like a poor choice for bear defense. Bears are fast runners. Do you really think a bear will stand still after you've just thrown a grenade with a 4-5 second fuse at it?
