My mom and I are taking a trip to Illinois in about a week, and I'm just curious if I'd be able to bring lotion with me or if I should just skip out on that.

  1. It has to be in a ziplock bag and it can only be so many ounces.

    Its a very small amount.

  2. Yes you can, buy a travel sized lotion.  No bigger then 3 oz I think.

  3. only if it's less than 4oz.

  4. You can bring just about any liquid on the plane with you but it has to be in a travel sized bottle and all of the liquids that you have must be able to fit in one of the small ziploc bags.  If you don't want to go buy the travel sized bottles you could get a travel set and put your own product in them.  The sets are usually a couple of bucks and that way you can reuse them.

  5.    1.  All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.

       2. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.

       3. Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.
