Or will security not let me bring it due to "interference with cockpit stuff"

I don't really want to put it in my checked bag because that's just going to have clothes in it. I don't want anything in there that can break.

  1. Yes you can bring them with you in your carry on bag. Most electronics can come aboard but have to stay off. I would check with the airlines to see what you can bring on and what you can have on.

  2. yeah, you probably can.....just dont use it or else you might cause some misinterpretation or some other problem.

  3. As a flight attendant for a major carrier, you may bring in your GPS device without checking it in your baggage and through airport security and onboard an aircraft.  However, this device must be turned off on the ground and during the "sterile cockpit" phase of a flight.  Sterile cockpit means that ALL ELECTRONICE DEVICES MUST BE TURNED OFF until you are further notified by your flight attendant who is normally the lead/purser flight attendant on any flight.  Just listen to the p.a. announcement when it's a good time to turn it on.  The lead flight attendant will advise all passengers when it is safe to turn on certain electronic devices.  Keep in mind that all types of cell phones, t.v.'s, and other two-way transmitters must remain turned off during an entire phase of a flight.

  4. yes, but u can't cut it on because it will mess up the airplaine's signal
