I'm going to fill out applications at local stores; walmart, price chopper, sams club...ect...I can leave my daughter home with her father but I would rather take her with me so she can have some time out of the apartment, could bringing her with me cause any problems with getting a job? Its not like i'm taking her on an interview (I wouldn't do that)

  1. Leave her at home u might not get asked back for an interview

  2. I know McDonalds and Walmart will let you apply online.  Maybe some of those other places will, too.  I'd recommend leaving her at home if you do it in person because if you can't find someone to care for her while applying, it will make them think that she will interfere with your ability to go to work as well.

I just added a link that will help you apply to Sams and Walmart.

  3. You should leave her at home.  At the very least she will distract your concentration, and at worse her presence may stop an on-the-spot interview from happening.

When you get home take her out for a walk instead  :)

  4. No, I also have a young daughter(4years old) and I have had a world of trouble finding a job even when not bringing my daughter to fill out apps.  A lot of places unfortunatley look down on people having kids because they think that you may be missing a lot of work because you have a child(due to illnesses or whatever else).

Go by yourself, and when you do get called back to interview, don't say anything about having a child.

    Good luck!
