I am going to Europe next month and I was wondering if I can use a debit card instead of a credit card. Yes I know I have to have enough money in my bank account.

  1. I have used mine in many other countries before.  They process it as a credit card when you use it.

  2. i think you can use it as a debit/credit card...Like if you have a Visa or Mastercard Logo on it they ring it up as a credit card but it just takes money out of your account..Thats what i have im 17 = no credit card 4me=( but yea just make sure its not a credit and debit card..

  3. It does not have to be just a Visa debit card,  it can be either a Mastercard debit card or Visa debit card.  Provide the places takes Visa or Mastercard

    Some tips.

Call your bank tell them you will be using your card in Europe.

Take you bank phone numbers with you.

Remember,  that if an item is $2.00 it might be $4.00 or more in U.S. currency

  4. Yes as long as its a visa.
