Can I bring my modem with me?

If i bring my modem to my grandma's house can i plug it into the cable outlet and the power then will i have internet?

Do i need a Tower?

Any other info is good!

  1. No, that wont work, as your grandma must be paying for internet there. You modem is only good where you are an internet service account setup. So moving it would do you know good.


  2. If your homes are connected to the same neighborhood head end then it will work fine.  If you're not on the same neighborhood head end, it won't work.

    Don't know what you mean by "tower" so I can't answer that.

    Yes if she has arranged for internet services with her cable TV.

    Yes you need a Tower monitor keyboard etc. How else are you going to surf the net? But it doesn't have to be your Tower it can be someone else Tower.

  4. No. You will need to subscribe to broadband at the line you connect to and to have a compatible modem for the service.
