Can I bring my own headphones on a flight?

I haven't been on a airplane in a couple of years and I read that they are charging $2 for headphones. I want to know if my Zune headphones are compatible with the audio port on a AA airplane. I would appreciate all the suggestions or answers. Thanks!

  1. Almost all headphones fit the jack on the plane.

And i would highly recommend bringing your own, i always do.  It saves money and the headphones they give u might not be clean.

  2. ya but the ones with 2 jacks

  3. Yes. That's just a stupid question!

  4. My father is a pilot and they give out headphones for the Digee players. So basically they give them out. I just a pre-teen but my Dad is a pilot!

  5. Sure you can, I bring noise cancelling headphones on every flight I take and it's always allowed. You should bring an inexpensive two prong adapter as many airline in-flight entertainment systems require those, and some systems require a banana plug adapter. Even within the same airline, the plugs can differ depending on the plane and system.

  6. yes, but it depends and the aircraft type and when was the modification for entertainment, but i would try it anyways. they sometimes have an adapter from the one prong to the two.

  7. I suggest it headphones on flights are reused and gross even if it is a double outlet you can stick it in one and it works just fine(thats what she said haha)
