ACTUALLY there is NO NEED to type in CAPITAL letters AS IF it makes you feel better about yourself.

I TYPED my answer quickly before running off to see a TRAVEL AGENT, so PERHAPS i didn't HAVE TIME. Thank you to the person who gave me the link to the Australian Customs. (And thanks to the other people who weren't dips - simply asking me where I was going from-to would have solved everyone's problems)

  1. Check this one out with the Department of Foreign Affairs - they handle travel overseas

    www.dfat.gov.au

    and customs

    www.aqis.gov.au/dogcat

    animalimp@aqis.gov.au

    and quarantine

    www.aqis.gov.au

Quarantine take forever to email you back - you would need to ring.

If it is a puppy it will need to have rabies shots to travel out of Australia. It may need to spend time in quarantine if it is bought into Australia and will need rabies shots to come in as Australia has managed to remain rabies - free so far.

  2. hallo,

it really depends on where you are traveling as different countries have got their own customs requirements.

    use this link.

    it should help

  3. Depends where you're going.  You can't bring animals into Australia for a holiday.  There's plenty of people in India travelling with pets - getting them home again might be tricky though.  Check where you want to go and what the quarantine laws are in that country - you might be lucky.

  4. Why is it, that whenever you people ask these types of questions, you never seem to think it's important to say WHAT COUNTRY you are coming from and WHAT COUNTRY you are going TO? And there is no way to give a real answer to you without knowing EITHER of those two things.

General informaton is, you need a vet's certificate dated LESS THAT 30 DAYS before the pet leaves BOTH COUNTRIES... AND... if you are thinking about taking your pet into the U.K. then you can't because the pet must be in QUARANTINE for a YEAR when you bring it into the country.

BUT... since you didn't SAY what countries are involved, there is NO WAY I can give you any more information
