Can I build a out door cage for my ball python??

I am getting a ball python, and i would like to know if i could build a cage for it. Oh it is just for the summer. oh and how do I build it

  1. You could, but I wouldn't recommend it. It'd be very hard to keep out insects or smaller snakes that have the potential of bothering or diseasing your snake and predators(including roaming dogs) may be able to attack your snake.

    Also, all snakes are amazing escape artists, and unlike if it were to escape in your home, if it escapes outside it is likely gone forever. Unless you could build a cage so secure that there are no holes(even tiny ones that you'd never think) and has a secure top, you have a chance of your snake disappearing.

    Of course, there are cages made specifically for outdoors that you could buy and use, or you could still try your luck at building your own.
