Question:

Can I buy a Train Card in person when I land in Brussels?

I am staying in Bruges for 4 days but plan on visiting Brussels regularly. It looks like I should buy a "Rail Pass" (10 single journeys for 71,00 EUR) rather than getting return trip tickets one at a time. But to get this pass, I think I first need a Train Card, which I would have had to order at least 10 days before my trip (too late). Can I buy one on the spot at the train station by the airport in Brussels? Do I need a picture with me, and if so, what size? Would I be able to trade in my 2 already-purchase tickets towards the price of the Rail Pass?

  1. you can just get a rail pass at the station - you don't need a train card nor a picture. but if you're not 26 years old, ask for a "go pass" - only costs 46 eur for 10 single trips

both rail pass and go pass aren't registered in an individual name, so you can lend it to friends or travel with them

i don't think you can trade your tickets but ask anyway - one never knows

    enjoy your stay
