I am on SSI. I have a little money saved up and want to purchase a dependable car. I know that your assets can't total more than $2000. Does that include cars? I mean you can't buy a decent car for that price. If I finance lets say a $6000 car. Is that ok?

I take the "additional cars" to mean that if you have one car it's value is not counted but if you have more than one car then the value of the second car counts towards the $2000. So if you only have one car it can be worth more than the $2000.
