Can I buy a phone in Vietnam that will work in Australia?

Am looking to buy a phone on the cheap, and then use my sim card when I get back to Oz... do you reckon it'll still work?

yes, for sure! Phones start from around 1.2 million dong or just under 100AUD.

When you return home, just change the sim card.

The only difference will be the power socket. but you could buy a  power adapter or maybe pick up a cheap second hand recharger to suit in Aust.

of course you can buy a phone in Vietnam if it really will work in the country that you are sending it to;that is. basically you can buy any electronic stuff in any country that you like, but make sure it will work in another country! But there might be a problem about the security at the airport, that part you have to figure it out yourself.

all phones that sell in VN use GSM...so of course...but i don't think phone in VN is tat cheap....
